Ethiopian-Adal War: Battle of Wayna Daga
The Battle of Wayna Daga was fought in 1543, near Lake Tana in Ethiopia. Following the defeat of the Portuguese at Wolfa, Emperor Galawdewos rallied the survivors and marched on the camp of Ahmad ibn Ibrihim al-Ghazi. Fighting at Wayna Daga, Galawdewos was able to defeat the invading Ahmad.

Wars of the Roses: Battle of Bosworth Field
The Battle of Bosworth Field was the decisive battle of the Wars of the Roses. Invading England, Henry Tudor gathered forces and clashed with King Richard III near Market Bosworth. In the battle, Richard attacked Henry's bodyguard and was killed in the fighting clearing the way for Henry to take the throne.

War of the Roses: Battle of Stoke Field
The Battle of Stoke Field was the last engagement of the Wars of the Roses. Fought June 16, 1487, it saw the Earl of Lincoln invade England in support of the pretender Lambert Simnel. Meeting King Henry VII's army at Stoke Field, he was defeated and killed.

Hundred Years' War: Battle of Castillon
The Battle of Castillon was fought on July 17, 1453, and was the last major engagement of the Hundred Years' War. In an effort to retake Gascony from the French, the Earl of Shewsbury landed near Bordeaux in 1453. Advancing against a French force at Castillon, he was badly defeated and killed.

Hundred Years' War: Battle of Patay
The Battle of Patay was fought on June 18, 1429, during the Hundred Years' War. In the fighting, the French were able to decisively defeat an unprepared English force. The Battle of Patay was the final action of the Loire Campaign.

War of the League of Cambrai: Battle of Ravenna
The Battle of Ravenna was fought on April 11, 1512, during the War of the League of Cambrai. Moving to secure northern Italy, French troops defeated Spanish and Papal forces near Ravenna. In the fighting, the French commander, Gaston de Foix was killed.

Hundred Years' War: Battle of Formigny
The Battle of Formigny was fought on April 15, 1450, in Normandy, France. Fighting on the Carentan-Bayeux Road, English forces led by Sir Thomas Kyriell held off the small army of the Comte de Clermont. The Battle of Formigny was won for the French when troops commanded by Arthur de Richemont arrived and turned the English flank.

The Battle of Shrewsbury
The Battle of Shrewsbury was fought on July 21, 1403, between the forces of King Henry IV and Sir Henry "Hotspur" Percy. Resulting from the Percy family's failure to receive lands and money from Henry following his rise to the throne, the Battle of Shrewsbury was won by royal forces and resulted in the Hotspur's death.

Nine Years' War: Battle of Curlew Pass
The Battle of Curlew Pass was fought on August 15, 1599, during the Nine Years' War. Advancing to relieve the siege of Collooney Castle, English troops led by Conyers Clifford were ambushed and routed as they moved through Curlew Pass. The defeat at the Battle of Curlew Pass marked a low point in Elizabeth's war in Ireland.

Wars of the Roses: Battle of Northampton
Fought during the early years of the Wars of the Roses, the Battle of Northampton saw the Earl of Warwick and his Yorkist forces defeat the Lancastrians under King Henry VI and the Duke of Buckingham. Fought on July 10, 1460, the battle lasted around thirty minutes and was decided when Lord Grey of Ruthin and his command defected to the Yorkist cause.
