World War II: Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto

Our ongoing look at World War II continues as we examine the career of Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto. The Commander-in-Chief of the Japanese Combined Fleet, Yamamoto planned the attack on Pearl Harbor and the operation against Midway. This article will provide an overview of his naval life from the Imperial Naval Academy to the downing of his plane in 1943.
